Hi Brois24 -

You might want to post this in the C5 parts section.

I recently bought a billiard-ball style shift **** from epco (google will find the web site) for $22.00.

I really like the round **** - others like stick-handles, and others like the oddly shaped stock *****, so this is all about what the individual likes.

here's a pic of my epco **** w/ bpp billet shifter in my Z -

here is a white epco **** in a mod-red Z for something different -

best regards -

I've had a couple. You can pick them up here for not a lot of money and see what you like.

I bought a Momo handle, it's not really a ****, from a fellow forum member. Nice ergonomics, beautiful construction and finish, but ultimately not to my taste. I think I paid $35 for it. You can have it for the same. PM me with your email and I'll send a pic, or look back a couple of months in C5 Parts if you're interested.

I also bought a Delrin handle here. Put that in, and it's a keeper (at least for now). It's kind of hot dog shaped. I may look for something a little bigger in dia. in the future.

Hi Brois24 -

That is a Breathless Performance Products (BPP) billet shifter - They are a forum sponsoring vendor -

http://www.breathlessperformance.com...ts/100-262.asp

These pop up (used) in the c5 parts forum every once in a while.

There are a few billet shifters on the market -

I would try to find someone in your area that has one installed and ask them if you could sit in the car to check it out - they are not for everyone, making shifting a bit notchier due to the reduced leverage.

They also seem to transmit more trans noise into the cabin, presumably because they do not have a rubber isolater in the stick like the stock shifter does.

I love the feel and much shorter shifts (like 45% shorter than stock).
I feel like I can bang out shifts quicker now. It made my car more fun for me to drive, but everyone is different.

The **** I bought from epco.com - $22 with the 6 speed pattern engraved on the top.

The setup in the mod-red Z06 is the same shifter and ****, in a different color.

The **** is a 2 1/8" diameter, btw.

best regards -
