I went to a dealerships to look at a 2002 silver A4 with 66.000 miles. Minor scrapes and some curb damage to the chrome wheels. Black interior and both tops, all stock. The drive out price is $24,420. Please tell me what ya think? Yes or no will do. Any feed back please!!!
That does seem a tad high. If the car is all stock, the wheels are polished aluminum with a clear coat, I would try and get them down at least 2k depending on how bad the wheels are.
Your buying it off a lot, this includes tax and license right? Where I live thats about $1,800. That would put the price around $22,600. I don't think it's a bad deal.

The price looks to be okay for an average condition car.
I don't think curb damage would be considered average.
Better priced than what I've seen around the ATL lately.

I think you may be able to do better if you look in the right places. I just got a 99 with 55K for 19K. They are out there..I have to agree---if you fill out your profile the guys on here will direct youto the best places to look that don't require hours and hours of travel time either.
Hey, thank you all very much for your help. I think I will talk to them some more and try to work on the price. I dont think they will come down anymore. If they dont I will go some where else. I think I will use the wheels as a lever to get some money off. I will try to fill out my profile ASAP. Thanks agian and I'll let everyone know what happens.
So I spoke with the salesman and he would not lower the price or give me more for my trade in. I told him I was not going to pay that much for a high mileage car. Later that day.... I thought this was really funny. I called a dealership in Sugarland TX about a 2002 A4 silver with 42000 miles, asked what the asking price was and he told me, are ya ready? He said $45,536 was its retail price. I asked him it had the ability to tell the future then hung up and laughed. Do ya think the car was that much brand new?
