Polished looks better when kept up with, but lots of work, LOTS OF WORK, chrome is simple to keep clean. Only down side is if it chips you are up the creek, $$$$ to repair, where as polished is a lot cheaper to fix chips, scrapes etc
(Had CCW's on my car for about 2 years)

Hi Vegas -

I would take the chrome -

I have had my CCW 505A's for about 4 years now (my wheels are some of the first - they have the air filler neck inside the barrel instead of outside of the spokes) and I am having those chromed this winter.

Chrome has a more blue hue than polished aluminum - but in my experience, unless you stay on it like a religion, the polished will not look as good day in and day out as chrome given the same maintenance attention.

I doubt you can get the chrome for the same price - but good luck doing that - it'll save you about $700-$800.

best regards -

For someone living in Nevada, you could easily manage with polished if you like that look. I have polished I forged wheels and the maintenance in Michigan is tedious , even while storing the car for the winter. If your humidity is low all year, as I expect in your climate, you should only need an occasional spif up on your bare aluminum. Stay away from clearcoated aftermarket wheels...the suppliers are not OEM equipped to give you the best clear topcoats...nor do they try to meet OEM standards in this regard. Trust me...I was a materials engineer for one of the Big 3.

Default Update

I did Chrome CCW 505s. Pirelli Pzeros 275/30/19s and 305/30/19s. Complete with sensors. They'll be here by Wed.

I think they'll look awesome on my CLE.

From the posts I'm sure I can trade one of you guys for your Polished if I don't like the chrome look.

I normally don't like chrome wheels, but they look really good on C5s.

If you can afford the extra money go chrome!

About time you took the plunge! I think you will love the chrome more than polished. Much easier to clean and take care of
