I was cruising around the other night and thus far I have been very careful not bottom out on anything and have only scraped the plastic undercarriage.
The other night i was turning around and I scraped more than the plastic
I was horrified at the scrapage I heard... What kind of damage could I have done and what is most likely done???

Only answer to the question is, get underneath and see what was scraped. Suspension, springs or anything could have bottomed out. If you don't see any fluid leaks, that's a good thing.

Most likely just the plastic undercarriage. My 2003 has only 4 inches of clearance between ground and underside. I scrape the air deflector in the front on almost every city street (they have huge speed bumps around here like in a trailer park or something). Just get the car elevated on at least a cheap pair of low rise ramps and see if you have done any noticeable damage. It's probably nothing. Let's hope so!
I have scraped the plastic on a few occasions but this was a definite metalic scrape... I hated to hear it and am hoping it is nothing. I will be checking tomorrow for leaks, I don't think it was that bad but I am kinda paranoid after all it is my baby... I guess we all can relate

Hard to tell without just looking under the car. Could have been the rocker panels or the air dam. It's hard to imagine scraping anything else unless you ran over an object or just have really poor suspension pieces. Hope it was nothing serious.

SO????? The suspense is killing me!!! Was it anything to be concerned about? I hope not.

It has been raining so much here I haven't wanted to take it out of its garage but I looked under the best I could and there is no fluid leaking. I will get out there later this morning and take a good look.
Where did it scrape?
If on the front, the noise you heard was your lower radiator support frame....commonly called the skidrails. If you look under the front of the car, you'll see the 2 rails poking out from under the front bumper just in front of the airdam.
You can get little wheels (framesavers) that bolt to those 2 rails to prevent scraping them further. A good investment if you find you scrape the rails often. Bottom item on this page: https://www.aandacorvette.com/cart/s...sp?MainCatID=5

I think you are right... I felt around underneath and I did feel some abrasion on the skidrails.... I will look into the framesaver wheels further
Thanks for the info
