Default Radar Detector

Are those wireless Escort Radar detectors worth the money? As far as range goes an such. Pro's and con's.

Thanks, Jim

I have enjoyed the benefits of many radar detectors and recently bought that one for my girl friend. It works real well and has features that save battery power and even shuts off if still for 15 minutes.
It seems to be at least as sensitive as any other detector subjectively speaking, and not dealing with the ugly power cord is great.

Agree. Have had my Solo 2 for about a year now. Has saved my butt on several occasions.

very worthwhile investment. I was skeptical of the battery life before I purschased it, but now I would have no other. I like the ability to move it easily from car to car. I turn it on every time I drive and the batteries last 2-3 months. I drive 25,000/year minimum.

It provides early warnings without the false alarms.
