Changing ATF fluid?
I read some posts here but want to get a consensus.
I have 55K miles and want to know if I should have the tranny fluid and filter serviced.
Can Jiffy Lube do this? I know they have a machine which allows them to do a fluid transfusion. Will they change the filter also?
Should I have this done?

I took mine in to my local Corvette specialty shop to have new plugs installed, as well as transmission and rear end fluids changed. My car had a little over 60K miles on it at the time.
He didn't change the ATF fluid ... said it still looked clean and to wait another 25K or so. I suppose yours will depend on its condition.
He did, however, change the rear end fluid and the brake fluid. The brake fluid had some condensation.
My plugs were burned pretty bad so they needed changing, even though they're supposedly good for 100K.
I don't think I'd let Jiffy Lube do it, unless you just particularly like your local shop. They might put the wrong stuff in it.

Were it me, I'd be taking the car to someone more reputable, hell, I'd even take it to a dealer first.
