Default C6 shift **** on C5 questions

I ordered this from GS creations and it just looks like it would push on, say a C6 shift handle. Its not threaded like a C5 handle, but I went a head and forced it on making threads anyway. I've been thinking they sent me one for a C6 instead. Can anyone help me out on this one?

Buy a C6 shifter, then it'll fit like it should. Otherwise sounds like you're trying to fit a round peg in a square hole.

Was it supposed to be a C6 **** made to fit a C5 shifter?

That was quick. I understand the round peg... I was just tired of burning my hand with the other shifter that was on there. It was something new and I wanted it on, ever get that itch. Its smooth inside and has a notch at the end looking into it that looks like it would snap into a slot or something. I'll take a pic tomorrow...

Oh and I have a ripper, no thanks on the C6 shifter.

I wondered the same thing, and emailed the guy at gs creations. He said that's the way it's supposed to be, and you just thread the whole thing on. It works out.

Just so we're not paying for something custom What does the C6 handle look like? This looks like a direct fit to something, nothing custom. I'm gonna check prices of a shifter handle from Gm tomorrow.

I have a Hurst with the C6 ****. The factory C6 **** has no thread, and is held on the shifter arm with a Torx screw. A machine shop can drill the hole.

You did exactly what you need to do. Push it all the way down and then turn it, making your own threads. I was about to return mine when GS Creations pointed me towards the directions on their website. There was supposed to be a slip of paper in the packaging with the website but it wasn't there on mine. Here is the link that was sent to me:

I love the C6 **** on my Hurst shifter. Good luck
