memory seat question-please help
i recently had my drivers side seat track replaced under warranty for the rocking seat problem.
now when i turn off the car the seat seems to go back farther than it did before and feels like it is forcing the seat back to move forward as it reaches the end of its travel.
i called the dealership about it and they said they thought i could set the position for the exit travel myself. is this something i can do or it a problem with the install
its on a 2001 convertible by the way
i know someone on here will know
thanks in advance
from what I know , and I am no expert , but I did fix the rocking seat myself on my C5 and I have had the luck of looking at the seat mechanism upclose .
- you cannot set the auto exit travel . there is a stop in the track for that . I would suspect the dealership is you , and they will have to redo the seat since the travel stop goes too far .
my passenger side travels too far , it knocks the back adjustment lever off when it hits the seat belt plastic surround . I have not bothered fixing it .

I'm no expert on the seat tracks, but I have never seen nor heard of exit travel adjustment possible by the owner. You might send a PM to Forum Member Evil-Twin and ask if he has any knowledge of this adjustment. I have to believe that it is a stopper on the track itself as corvettezman suggests.
