Depending on where the puncture is, a jack may be required to get the proper access to use the plug kit (might require removing the wheel and tire if you don't want to lay on the ground/dirt/mud/fire ant hill, etc. with your legs sticking out into traffic and then having to get back into your clean interior). One thing for sure, you never know in advance where and on which tire the puncture might occur.
