Default What to do!?

I have to sell my mustang before anything. I want to buy a vette and have been on this site for about a month. I was wanting to know if there is anything I should look for. Is year or mileage more important? Do they all have the same HP? I test drove a 2002 and it felt pretty strong but the stearlership wanted to much. There is a 1998 with 35,000 miles for sale in my area for $22.500. I think that is a little much. Any help?

That price is a bit high for that car - keep looking.

The '97-00 C5s came with 345 HP - the '01-04 has 350 HP. With the '99 and up cars, you can get more options (like HUD, active handling). $22.5 for a '98 may be a bit high - what is the condition of the car?

Take your time and look over a bunch of cars. Best advice is to buy the lowest mileage, newest car you can find within your budget. Be sure to check each car over carefully - they are reliable but do have their issues (leaking differentials, rocking seats, column lock problems, etc.). Best of luck finding a C5 for you.

Thanks for the help. The 98 I have in mind looks to be in excellent condition. I would like to have at least a 00. Every time I find one I like, I call and they say they just sold it. I'm running out of patience. It has been a dream of mine to own a C5 since I was 15 now at 25 I have to have one. This will be a car I will never get rid of. Oh yeah! Nobody wants a Mustang, I'll be lucky to get what I owe.

Brandon, Trust that you will find the right one. But TAKE your time. I know it's killing you, but trust me, don't jump just to jump. Take your time and you will find the right one for you.

Nothing wrong with a 98 I love mine maybe you can talk them down on the price. I paid 27 for mine 2 years ago and I don't care if I paid to much. It had 35,000 on it when I got it. Just be sure to check it out good, no matter what you get you will love it
