I recently purchased my first Corvette, a black 2000 Coupe six-speed(pictures to be attached soon). I have a couple of quick questions. 1) Can anyone recommend a good car cover for in-door use only; I am looking for something that's managebale/not too cumbersome for every day use; what do you think about the flannel cover? 2) what is best to use to clean/polish stock rims (polished)? Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the Forum! Congrats on your purchase. As far as an indoor cover. I wouldn't spend any more $ than you had to as it's only a "dust cover" I have a Wolf I think I paid $139. But for years used 2 queen sized sheets that were just as easy to get on and off and did the job fine. My '02 came with the same polished thin spokes and I have never done anything but wash them with soap/water and an occasional "All Wheel Cleaner" They have a clearcoat finish and should (in my opinion) be treated as "paint" I think it is actually a clear powdercoat. The fact that they are "clear" and that wax/polish can hold moisture and you wouldn't want that to find it's way under the clearcoat and "cloud" the finish. I just wash them, then towel them dry, or drive them dry to eliminate water spots. Good luck with your new car and ENJOY

For the rims, just use soap and water to clean and a good car wax to protect.
As for a cover, I have one I bought from Corvette Garage back in October 2005 - cost around $99 and does just great for the inside. Has not scratched the paint at all and keeps the dust off very well. Even had the C5 logo embroidered on the front.

Custom Fitted C5 Corvette CAR Cover, Lifetime Warranty and "managable/not too cumbersome for every day use" as you are asking about. Includes: cable and lock, pattented strap tie down system, GM Licensed Embroidery (you choose the logos and colors), storage bag with embroidery. Notice how it covers the entire C5 including the wheels. See the links below.
Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum. I don't use car covers and I removed the clear from my polished wheels so it's mothers aluminum polish for my wheels.

I just purchased the Corvette Garage cover with the Z06 logo embroidered on it. Looks like a great cover and not that expensive. The sad part is I am still waiting for my car to arrive so I can't try it out yet.
I don't know about car covers, but, I do know Rich and Carmotorsports.
Great combo for quality products.
Besides washing the wheels, I maintain them with a terry cloth towel and some windex. The last time I cleaned them, I polished them with a mothers power ball and some polish.
