Going to the drag strip tonight, hoping to better my 12.9 last time out. The weather should be about 65f. Should I drop the air in my rear tires? They are at 30 as are the fronts. Thanks
Yesterday I went to the Las vegas drag strip. My best of 5 runs was 13.04 at 107.9. Two runs were very similar, 1306 and 13.9 both at 107mph. My 60ft times were all about 1.98. The two other runs were 13.2. I have 20 runs with my 03 z. It has a blackwing. I had gotten a 12.91 last time out, with a 1.91 60ft. There was another 03z with cai and drag radials running 12.3's. I know I can improve some. Any thoughts? Thanks Brian
Figures Density Altitude and corrects ET and Trap Speed for sea level
Temp(*F):

Track Alt.(ft.):
Pressure(in.):
ET:
Trap Speed(mph):
Based on:
Temp: 78°
Humidity: 17%
Track Altitude: -280 feet

Density Altitude = 1317 feet ET MPH
Uncorrected 13.04 @ 107.9
Corrected 12.85 @ 109.43
Found your et and MPH. MPH is down. I would expect the car to MPH better. I guessed at the above info for LV area last night. I would think car should be closer to 12.5 and maybe 112 mph.
MPH is typically a matter of HP and ET is usually a matter of driver skill/technique.
The wheels make me wonder. Joe "Gramps" did have the original wheel lips polished by Panther. It could be Gramps's car though. Gramps sold it to a dealer in SW IL. Lost track of it after that!!

One of the poster has a VIN# posted so the owner need to verify that
Try this site for corrected et/mph. I was using the wrong elevation. Using 3500 elevation, 75 temp, hum 17% and barometer of 29.6, it corrects to a strong 12.03. You really need to know temp, altitude, barometer, humidity at time of runs to use the calc link.

I looked up the Las Vegas track, it is 2200 ft elevation. Thought it was higher. Using the formula it corrects to 12.44 at 112.
Still a good run. I use 50psi front and 26.5 psi rear. Launch and track prep are critical, especially to half track where traction may become limited on shifts. Keep practicing.
Good luck.
Thanks everyone. I am going to take off my motorsport wheels and put the stockers back the next time out. It will be interesting to see if they make a big deference. The ones I have are about 8lbs heavier. I think that is what is hurting my trap speeds.
