Default Scuff marks on vinyl sill

My 2001 Vert has the light oak interior which means the sills in the door opening are the light oak vinyl material which is scuffed very easily by shoes when entering and exiting the car. I'm having a very hard time getting them clean. Does anyone know of a good way to clean them? I've tried 409 and scotch-bright which sometimes works, but not every time. I'm ready to break out the belt sander on these things.

These things do work, but you still have a bit of work ahead of you.

They now have extra strength ones on the market. Might speed up the process.

Default sills

When you get them cleaned up, you might want to look at sill covers. They come in lots of colors, clear, and even SS. I got tired of cleaning mine and got the clear with Corvette on them.

Switch to black sills. Since I did I never get any scuff marks. Of course I changed my entire interior to black, so I guess it goes with the territory.

I had the clear sill covers. They were a pia as water was trapped under them, and they kept getting kicked loose . Magic Erasers do a great job!

As stated above - Mr Clean Magic Eraser and a bit of all purpose cleaner.
Worked great on my Light Oak parts.

I have those plastic sill covers that I'm constantly kicking off when I exit the car and have to remove when washing as they trap the water under them. I want to buy a set of those stainless covers, the kind that go over the inside sill, but it seems they're all out of production? Anyone know where they can be found......

Thanks guys--Looks like I'm getting the Mr. Clean thing soon. And I'll check out the sill covers, although I had them on my C4 and hated them because they kept falling off making a huge racket.

Default scuff marks

Good information! I recently bought a 2000 with the Light Oak interior and the only scars on the interior is on the driver's side vinyl sill. I'm off to track down Mr. Clean!
Thanks!
