Flush Mount tail lights?
I ordered a flush mount taillight kit. When I went to install it the lights bulged at the top and there still was a lip at the bottom? Did I do something wrong or is this the way they should be???? They do not look flush as they do not follow the angle of the rear cover?
Anyone else experience this. Would appreciate any pic showing their flush mounts.
Thanks
FRED

I had the same issue, first did you remove the small ridge on the light? It has to be nipped off. I ended up shaving about another 1/8 to get mine they way i wanted te to.

The tops of mine are flush and there is a slight lip on the bottom FWIW.

You can always go to Lowes or HD and get some plastic shims and adjust it...
I did mine all with plastic shims and longer screws...

you can use shims from lowes or home depot.
mrnuke ground mine at an angle so they'd sit level with the bumper housing. without the grind, they protruded on top and tucked in on the bottom.
a little tlc/fenagling and you'll acheive the perfect look.

I made my own kit via Lowes. Consisted of nylon spacers and some weather striping. They fit perfect.

Could you provide some more details. I may be interested in this myself. I want to do it right.
TIA

I did my own buying the spacers and longer screws from Home Depot and I never took the time to get it to fit just right. Was never really happy with them so I took them off when I swapped in the Halo LEDs.
