Alright, so I gave my front passenger side HRE a little curb scratching tonight. I know many members here have curbed/scratched their HRE's. Give me the rundown on your experience and/or knowledge on the fixing of your rim(s). Obviously it got sent back to HRE for the fixing, but just give me the details on anything you may have done differently now that you've been through it. Cant believe I did this to my wheel. Albeit I sound quite calm right now, I'm ready to explode. Just, damn.......
did the same thing to one of my ccws...can be easy to fix depending on your wheel coating. Mine are polished aluminum with NO clear coat. So all it took was many grits of sandpaper, lots of patience and elbow grease. Start with agressive 200 and 400 grit, then 600 then 1000 then 1500....finish with mothers billet polish and it will be fine. Tape off the area you dont need to sand and only focus on the exact area with the rash
