I have a supercharged '99 convertible with a GHL Magnum catback. Currently, I don't have headers but I'm considering adding them to help the car breath. Right now, there is some drone at about 1700 RPMs...nothing that I can't live with, but it's there.
My question is for those with a [preferably GHL] catback exhaust and headers. Did you notice a significant drone noise difference inside the car? What about outside the car...at idle, can you hear a difference between cars with headers and without headers, or does the sound difference really come into play at excelleration?
I've got GHL's Quad Tips with 6" cans on my A4 Vert with Long Tubes and any drone around 15-1700 rpm is very acceptable compared to Borla Stingers and Bassani BX's that I've had.

Thanks.
Steve,
Check out our web site. There is a video of my CE that has a before and after headers clip.
As for the drone, I had slight drone at 65 70 MPH (very slight) But is has completely gone away with the 3:90's because it took it out of the RPM range on the HWY
You can stop by anytime you want and take it for a spin...
Our C5 has the GHL Magnum Plus with dual tips and we get an annoying drone between 1500-1700 rpm when the engine is under a load (uphill in 6th gear on interstate for instance). Don't know whether the car has an X-pipe since I haven't had a chance to get underneath it since we bought it in August. Since the Vette is for pleasure use only and we just drive it on sunny days on the weekends, we can live with the drone until we get a chance to get under the car and see what we have. Otherwise, the exhaust sounds great, specially at WOT!
