cloudy polished rims

cloudy polished rims
the rims on my vert are cloudy , how can i bring them back

Have the clear coat removed and then polished.

I sold mine because they were murky or cloudy even when new. Drove me nuts.

That would probably work. I got mine brand new...8 days after it left the factory and mine were slightly "cloudy" towards the back of the dish where you can't really see it good...never bothered me a bit though...I think most if not all '04s with the polished spokes came like that ...

I had issues like this on my CCW's with the polished lip...I had some like this before, but I guess they had some sort of clear coat on them, because they never got cloudy....now with my new wheels on the Audi, they are still looking good.

Paint stripper from Home Depot. I also wiped them down with MEK. (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) Buffed them with Mothers aluminum polish with a drill and a spiral sewn buffing wheel. It is a lot of work.

I stripped them last year. I am not going to clear them, I just keep them waxed.

Strip the clear and recoat or leave bare and polish every now and then. Or, see about getting them chromed. About your only options.
