How Much More ???
Looking at a 02 Z06 with 32k miles and 450rwhp. How much more than stock should I pay? Very nice car but not sure of the mods. I know it has a cam, LT headers, ram type cold air, not sure about other items. Car runs very well and has a pretty heavy lope at idle. I was told it is tuned to 500hp at the crank, what would it cost to get a stock car to these hp levels? Thanks
I just bought an 02' Z with 11K on the clock.. sticker was 34,500 ... got them to go to 33K flat..... Just remember though.. just because they put money someone put money into the car for mods.. dosen't mean you have to pay for them.

I would agree but the owner will not budge. I found 1 mark on the hood and that was it. Very clean car but high price tag. The price has got to be for mods. What would it cost to get 450 to the wheels? I feel the car is worth about $28-$29K stock.
Does this owner have reciepts for the work done? If you are gonna pay any type of premium for a modded car I would want to see documentation and dyno sheets from the shop that did the work. I agree that you really dont get much money back for a modified car. 50cents on the dollar if you are really lucky.
There are plenty of nice used cars out there, if this guy doesnt want to work with you at all and cant provide documentation in terms on the mods on this car... move on to the next one.

Receipts and dyno available but I have not seen first hand. Tried to get them faxed to me twice without any luck. The claim is $13k in aftermarket parts and services and dyno tuned to 500hp crank. Car looks and sounds awsome and the price is $33500.
Well that is not an out of line price for a nicely modded car that has documentation. If the body and everything else is as clean as you say it sounds like a fair deal

I looked into MTI racing in GA., and to add 100hp to my car would cost $11k for stage II kit. I'm figuring the guy with the Z06 in question is thinking the value is $28500 and then adding half the price of the mods or $5k for a total price of $33.5K. The story is, the guy does not wish to sell but the wife is making him sell for a new house prodject. I think he wont budge because he wants to keep the car while telling the wife he's trying to sell and nobody will buy.
You got to pay to play. Go there with a cashier's check for 31k. Keep two grand in cash in the glove box of your car and tell him in front of his wife you have 31k and want to take the car home. Don't deal over the phone. It's easy to say no over the phone, but it's hard to say no to cash in hand. All prices are negotiable. Usually 5-10% of asking price is not too much of an insult. Don't get emotional, there are others out there.

It's actually on consignment and the company was also giving me $19K towards the purchase for my 99 coupe car. They told me the guy wont budge and they agree the Z is worth more like $30k. The president of the company said $33.5k is best he can do no matter if cash or trade. And many have tried to buy the car but price was set. They're being very fair on my car but I'd like to be at my car and $10k or less for a 02 Z. Nobody on this forum wants to trade down. The sad thing is, my car is very nice and I can't get an offer or even a nibble. I know where other Z's are but I need the cash from my car to get a deal.
