Passing OBD inspections
I am looking at a 00 Coupe, I have not driven this car as of yet, but I am going to this week. I am very interested in this car, but the problem is this.........the car is from a state that does NOT have state inspections and my state (NC) does. The car has a Corsa cat back exhaust, K&N Cold Air Induction and a few other small modifications. I did crank it the other day and there was no check engine lights on, and that was a good thing. Now for the question........would the K&N cold air induction and the exhaust make a car fail the OBD inspections?

It wouldn't fail because of those mods unless a visual is required and aftermarket isn't allowed by your state. Those are relatively minor changes that shouldn't cause emissions failure when properly installed. You can check for any existing current codes that might signal a problem by following the procedure in the link below.
