Last weekend Longrodlx was over and we were installing powdercoated calipers on his FRC in my garage. My Coupe was in the driveway.
A kid maybe 3 years old with his Mom walking on the sidewalk stops and says "Hey I like your Corvettes"
We just sort of stopped for a few seconds because it was really unexpected from such a little guy.
Good to know his Parents are raising him RIGHT.
Now I'm starting to wonder if his MOM put him up to it?
This is not exactly corvette related but I saw a little girl, must not have been much older maybe 6, walking to school ALONE this morning. Haven't seen that in decades.
It is amazing what young children will say.
Some seem to know instinctively there is something special about a Vette.
Last month I was coming out of a CVS drug store. There was a young mother with a 3-4 year old boy by her side. The young boy was tugging on his mother and pointing at the car. About that time I heard the mother say (impatiently) "it is a Corvette."
It astounded me that the little guy recognized it was not just another car.
My niece who is now 5 years old always has to sit in my vette before i can leave. When she was just a little over 3 years old and was walking thru my garage she said "nice corvette Uncle Dell." She is definitely a corvette girl
My neoghbor bought his 4 year old son a C5R battery op car last Xmas. Now, when I back the vert out to wash it the 4 year old brings his C5R out and washes it also.
