whats the difference between the corsa pace car and the touring, and how is the sound versus borla and the slp loudmouths. I really the the tiger shark tips. Do any of the other exhaust companies make tips similar to these. I am torn on which exhaust to put on my 2001 zo6, will be selling the stock Ti as soon as I can switch, Help?
I debated for months on what exhaust to put on mine.
Ended up with Billy Boat PRT system and couldn't be happier.
No drone, yet has a great idle and WOT sound. Polished very well.
Under $960.00 installed @ Corvettes of Houston last week.
This is the only picture I have here at work:
Hope this is useful.................................
Either of the Corsas will give you no drone. I went with the Touring since I didn't want a loud exhaust sound. Nice burble at idle and it does sound good when you put your foot into it.
the one thing that I do want in the tips is four of them that are evenly spaced across the back, no space for an exhaust plate, did that make sense
I originally had the SLP Loudmouth on mine and loved it. Unfortunately I live where there are a lot of old people, no offense to anyone on here, that do not like loud cars. My original setup was LG headers and the Loudmouth. It sounded like a stock car. I now have the Corsa Pace Car. It depends on which Borla you are comparing it to but the Loudmouth is a lot louder. There is no muffler on the Loudmouth. If you are wanting no space for an exhaust plate then you should get the Corsa Tigershark.
On the 2003, I have the Corsa Pace and while others say it is “Louder”, I don’t find it loud at all - at idle or at any speed.
(My 74 Vette, now that’s loud with headers and Dynomax “Ultra Flo” stainless mufflers – the original design with stainless steel wool packing. Actually quiets down at expressway speeds – no drone, but the sound at idle will rattle windows!)
I bought the Corsa Pace car Tiger shark setup like you are looking at. The advice I received was "if there's any doubt that you might want the louder exhaust - get the pace car"
So, I haven't actually heard the touring version of the exhaust - but the pace car is loud above 3K at heavy throttle. At cruising, I can't hear it. It's the only performance product that actually does what it says it will do.
There's no extra power over stock - but it changes your driving habits.
The throttle turns into a volume switch. At cruise at low RPM, the thing is super quiet. When rowing through the gears - it's damn loud.
The only negative is that the idle sound pretty much sucks - it's nothing like the Borlas.
So - if your car is a DD that you spend alot of time in, the corsas are a good choice. If you just take the car out on weekends and cruising - some of the more obnoxious loud systems are going to be more fun.
I just had my Corsa Pace car exhaust w/Tigershark tips installed on my 02. Corvettes of Houston did a great job with the install. I am really pleased with the sound at WOT. It makes you want to gun it more often. At idle, I'm still trying to get used to the sound. But otherwise the intall and the look, no negatives here. Good luck with your choice.

Glad to see you got your system installed. While I was there last Saturday I mentioned to them that I recommended them to you.
