Stal Converter install walkthrough?

Just wondering if there is a write up on changing the stall converter for an A4? Just curious would like to read through what all is involved. Thanks

Umm call me slow I see a lot about changing the diff but do you have to pull the diff to do a stall converter?

Here's an excellent write up by CF mag done at Mike Norris' shop. The article details the diff swap but they also take the opportunity to put in a new converter. Great pics (click to enlarge) and step-by-step detail.

Swapping a converter in a C5 is no big deal. If you follow the Corvette Fever write up you'll get it done fairly easily. One thing I didn't do that the article says is to remove the torque tube. I just lowered the tranny down low enough to remove it from the torque tube. Then I changed the converter and reinstalled the transmission. Took me four days working on it by myself a couple of hours a day. I could do it alot faster now that I've done it before.

Thanks I am doing long tubes this weekend so I will see how that goed before I decide if I want to do it myself. I am a little afraid of pulling the rear end off the car.
