Nope...because I know what types of crazy mods people do to their Vettes on this forum...there's no telling what sort of ridiculous power they could be making.
Never. When another Vette pulles up next to me, we exchange waves and then go our seperate ways.
I think it is more out of the respect from one to another.
Unlike mustangs/cobras I have a friend who has a cobra and he says they are the worst cars for always trying to mess with him.
Rather than racing in town at lights, I typically end up buddying up with other vettes and heading down the highway.
Many times we have other cars join in and pretty soon we have a pack of sports cars cruising down the highway together at speed. I have to say I throughly enjoy shooting down the highway in a pack of mixed sports cars - we might prefer different cars but we are all intoxicated with power and speed.
Not as hard as when it's another kind of car. Stang, Camaro, T/A, or especially a nice import (merc, bmw, evo, sti, vr4, supra). Of course, I haven't even been next to another cool car for months.
Everyday on my way to work I see a man with a blue zo6 (im driving my 99 m6). Everyday we exchange our waves occasionally talk to eachother while waiting for the light to change but I never really felt like racing... but only because I dont need to get beat
all the time. im in a vett club about 35members about 10 younger guys someone in the group always wants to get on it
but as far as people outside the group most people just wave.
I just got my vette not too long ago and I have only gotten next to one since I have gotten it and we just waved and gave the nod of respect and went on our ways... feels like a family
When I go out with other Vettes on Texas Hill Country Cruises the other club members that are young with moderate mods always want to see how there car stacks up against Sick HP, when we get to our destination they are always amazed with the difference between there Stang killers and my Viper killer, but when tooling around town only F-bodys and Stangs want some of me There is nothing like a stomping on a Viper who has there head up there ****, this I have done many times as they are so used to spanking a Vette from 70
