Alarm Help
My alarm was working this morning fine ..Then later on the remote would not open or lock the car .I change battery in remote and it still is'nt working.. I have 2 remotes both are not working factory alarm ( 99 coupe) and FOB. Anybody got any idea before I bring it in to a alarm tech ... Thanks

You may need to resync the FOBs, especially on the one you changed the battery on.
The procedure is in the owners manual. First try holding the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons down simulaneously and hold for at least 7 seconds. If this works your horn should beep. If that doesn't work, then use the DIC procedure (also in the owner's manual) to reprogram the FOBs into the car's memory.

but I would go one step further and replace the other fob battery and resync both.

I'm thinkin, I'm thinkin... I had a problem with my horn this summer and I temporarily pulled the micro relay to keep the thing from blaring constantly. If I remember correctly, with the horn relay out, my alarm didn't work either. Does your horn work? You might want to check the fuses/relays under the hood by the battery. Just a wild thought.
