Just installed the donaldson and wanted to do a pcm reset to accomadate the extra airflow. On my 98Z28 we just pulled the ignition and the pcm fuse for about 5 minutes-I've heard I have to disconnect the battery overnight on these cars-anyone know the answer? Thanks
Turn ignition to the start position but do not start the engine. Pull fuse number 16 and 23 (Fuse box is right in front of the battery, check your owner's manual for the location of fuse #16 & 23) and wait for a minute or two. Turn the ignition to off and put the fuses back.
You might want to reset the codes this procedure sets (traction control, etc), look into the tech tips on how to erase the codes.
When I did this to mine, it felt like a different car, make sure you drive her hard for a couple of miles to get the full benefit.
