Need info on side intrusion bars
Hi guys,
My 2000 torch red coupe has finally arrived in New Zealand!
Just needs to be checked for compliance,etc. and I will be on the road for summer. Seasons are opposite over here.
I have been told the guys doing the checking will pull the door skins off to check if there are side intrusion bars behind.
I do not want them to do this as who knows what damage they might do.
Does anyone have any pics or info that proves the vette has these.
If I can show this, maybe they will leave my doors in peace.

DANG ! That's some needlessly strict enforcement! If the car was imported directly from the US, the VIN number proves that it meets all US standards, which includes the bars.
Any GM dealer should be able to print you a copy of the shop manual pages refering to them, or you might be able to access it on-line.
