Fuel gauge issues
I have a friend with a 1999 Corvette and he called me about his fuel gauge just going to Empty. If memory serves right, wasn't there a TSB on this issues through 2001 or 2002? Oh, and yes, he does have fuel in it! It just drops from one second to the next!
The dealer wants to charge him $1000 to replace the sending unit! My recollection was that this was just a reprogramming issue through the DIC.
Anyone know what this is about?

Bought 04 Vert couple weeks ago... it is doing the same thing.. Went to local dealer(do lots of bussines with them). They are going to fix it next week.. It went out of warrenty back in October.. Going to fix it under something they call "Good Will Waranty".. They told me it is a common problem...Sending unit is About $500 From what I was told...
