So far the reports are that they do not measure up to the various aftermarket brakes from Wilwood or Stoptech. For cars using them on the track there are issues with brake pad wear, ease of pad replacement, pad replacement cost, etc.

You don't have to buy stock pads which are pretty expensive. You can buy ceramic Hawk pads for less than $250 shipped.
I got my set for less than $1400 shipped to my door brand new ($1120 for calipers and rotors and $246 for ceramic Hawk pads)
Well, another $95 for SS lines from www.pfyc.com.
Pros are big bling and may stop better than stock C5.
Cons are too heavy and need new wheels to clear them.

I think that for the price they beat the other brands by a mile. I have the complete set(front and rear) for less than half the cost of other full comparable sets. Try to find a front and rear set for less than $4,000.
A good number of the negative posts here come from those who say " I heard that" and not from those of us who actually have them. Good luck with what ever brand you choose. I find they stop much better than my C5 brakes and for about $900 you can get the two piece front rotors from DRM which weigh about half as much as the stockers. So for $1,400 for the brakes, 250 for the pads, and 900 for the lightweight rotors you have about $2500 invested which will buy you just the front set up for most of the other brands.

From what I have seen at the track, most C6 Z06 guys replace them. Personally I would go the extra bucks for a better system. Like they say...you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. I do not track my car. I would be getting these brakes just for asthetic reasons and possibly a little better performance. What size wheels are needed to clear these brakes? Also, who should I get them through?
If you have the bigger lips, NO. They will clear, but just recently John made a change on the lip size's so they would clear the brakes. The standard size of 2" front and 3" rear wont clear any monoblock calipers that mount onto the spindle directly.

Got mine from Gene (Fred Beans) in Carlisle (But now Gene is going out on his own...see post in C5 General)
I agree with Tiojames...brakes are night and day from what was on there before. I don't slalom my car so I don't need racing-type brakes...these do the job for the street and then some
I had to go with spacers on my C6 Z06 wheels (I have all the offset/spacer specs if you want them)

So Brett, do you know what the lip sizes are for 505's that WILL clear these brakes...ie how much of the lip do you loose to accommodate the caliper clearance? Have you seen any? Just wondering if they detract from the overall look of the 505's?
PS: Thanks Alan. Send some of that Naples sunshine up this way

Nice shots, Mo
Can't wait to put my car together
BTW, if you got with Iforged's 19's all around or 19/20, you will get 2.5" front and 3" rear lips.
I'll get 4" rear lips (thought I got 5" but cannot because rear Z06 brakes are too big )
