At 127K no engine work. (Serpentine belt tensioner has been replaced twice, known issue with these cars, but that's about a 10 minute job.) Doesn't seem to burn any noticeable oil between changes, no fluid leaks anywhere. Admittedly I've only had the car for a few K miles, but I know the previous owner and believe what he tells me about the service history.

-Driver's seat has a hole from wear on the outboard edge.
-Several stone chips up front on the paint.
-GM VIS shows the rear end was replaced at about 15K, under warranty, long long ago.
-Column Lock issue fixed by dealer long long ago.
-I just replaced some weatherstrip- $300 for parts.
-Just changed shocks to Bilsteins.
-Needed Alignment.
-Oil pressure sending unit is kaput- Known issue.
-Gas gauge drops, Known issue.
-Had battery leakage issue, no significant damage I think and hope.
I think that's about it.

As best as I could figure from documents left in the car and a printout from the main servicing dealer.

I just bought my 1998 Corvette Convertible a4 from a great customer at our shop and he always told me when he sold the car I would be the first one he would offer it to. I am going to miss him dearly as a customer as he bought a Caddy.

He only fixed things if they really broke.

I got a print out thru the "GM Vehicle Inquiry System" that tells you all the recalls that have been done and need to be done. It also shows where the car was originally sold when new and the warranty start date. Any applicable warrantys and a "Claim History" are also included.

If your not the original owner of your car and are nice to your local Chevy dealer ask if they can do whats called a VISS check, they can print it out for you. "GM Vehicle Inquiry System" they will also let you know if any recalls are open.

So now for the nuts and bolts of 232,000 miles as best as I can figure.
(note the customer pay work doe's not show on this report)

03/26/1998 0 miles Pre-Delivery Inspection
04/07/1998 7 miles Fuel injector replace

It has sat now for a three weeks thus the rust on the rotors.

'04 CTSV has 5,600 miles its a bonified garage queen. The only reason it has that many miles is I took it on two trips over 1,000 miles each.
