Oil Temp Issues
I notice people mention that they are keeping an eye on their oil temps while auto-x'ing or road coruse use. Just wondering if there is an issue with the Z06 that causes the oil to overheat.
I have even seen a few people that indicate they have added an oil cooler. Is this a necessary upgrade?

Well, I find that driving the crap out of the car causes that 
I added a cooler, and the problem went away. In a 25 minute track session, shifting at redline, downshifting when I needed to, I hit 260. I was at 295 without the cooler and got scared.

Autocrossing not really a problem. Track in warm weather I started hitting 290 and decided an oil cooler was a good idea. With the cooler. It hit 265 on a 25min session in almost 100deg weather. The rest of the time 245 or so. I'm using the DRM oil cooler. Installs pretty easy and works fine.
