A well supplied automotive paint supply store should carry a selection of different width gray colored 3M double sided tape.
NAPA carries a very thin version, about half the thickness of the 3M, but it's very sticky.

They install with double sided tape - a body shop should be able to fix you up with enough tape to get them attached. As for the measurements, might want to find a car with them already on and take a few measurements.
