Low Beam Question Bulb coating
This may be a crazy 
question, but has anyone ever tried removing the (paint, covering) whatever the heck it is from the low beam to produce more illumination?
I have a couple of LB SilverStars that I was going to attack with some fime steel wool then clean with alcohol.
Just wondering if anyone had tried to remove that coating.

Good luck. That paint is some kind of aluminized/metal paint, and I promise you that it won't be a walk in the park getting that stuff off, if at all.
You'll probably break the bulb before you can get it scraped off.
