Default Air filter systems?

I want to go with a different air filter system I saw these 2 items on different websites my concern is are these filters good enough having two split Vs having something like the black wing.I'm not interested in putting a hole in the front of the license plate but there's so many to choose from which is the best.I like the chrome look.

i'd pass on the split, dbl. filtered unit. some will tell you that it creats too much turbulence and actually slows down induction. just my .02.

The Blackwing is very easy to install. Takes about 30 minutes to do. I'm running it and it does a good job on the car. Others to consider are the Halltech Stinger or the Callaway Honker.

I have the Blackwing too - and I like it. But it is not a cold air intake system. It is simply a very effective air filter. CAI (cold air induction ) is like the Callaway Honker (thought by many to be among the best). It is a little more involved to install and is fairly expensive.

What I'm offering is a cold air system, complete with "ice box" cover, but it will require you to cut a hole in the oem shroud. That puts the BLACKWING into the same category as any other air intake that breathes through an open shroud.

A buddy of mine just Installed the Hurricane Air Intake System & he loves It! He said It sounds a little better and can feel the S.O.T.P ~They claim up to 35 HP, but who knows. He knows his stuff when It comes to Corvettes, so I take his word for It. I admit that It looks like a great system, especially nice with the Carbon Fiber that his Is!!

To answer your question, YES, you can. If you like the appearance
and it is what you want, do it. Is it the best induction mod out
there, probably not.

But it is YOUR ride.

Yes, you can use it on any system. The only variable you may need to tweak is couplers...........
