Default Cold Air Kit

Anyone add a cold air kit to their C5?

If so, what type?

Can you feel an increase in hp?

What is the honker, is it a brand name? Is it a cold air kit?

Can you provide a web site?

Thanks.

Yes I did on my 99. I purchased it last year with 28,000 miles on it. At some point the original owner whom I purchased it from put in the K&N dual air intake. I took the car down the local 1/4 mile dragstrip a few times with the K&N and after recently replacing it with a VaraRam intake my time decreased 0.3 -0.4 of a second just like VaraRam guaranteed. They equate that savings as an increase of 35-40HP. This is no joke. I was very pleased.

I have a Blackwing at the end of my Halltech. The back of the fog light housing is also cut out. There was a SOTP feeling when first installed.

Absolutely

If you can find one used then the more value you get from it. JMO

I added the CAI mod from Forum Member Dave68 to my Halltech Stinger as well as cutting out around the fog lights. I could tell a SOTP difference, but I don't have any numbers to back this up. See instructions at www.conceptualpolymer.com (really easy). Good luck!
