Silver colored calipers?
I have CCW's and really think I should do something with the calipers.
But I have red hats on my drilled and slotted rotors, and the car is torch red also. I think red calipers might be a little much.
Do any of you have your calipers painted some sort of silver or or some thing that might offset all the red?
Thanks!
High polished or chrome would look GREAT...however I'm not a fan of a light paint color on brake calipers. A silver caliper will almost look unpainted. i've seen yellow, and they were some of the worst looking calipers i've ever seen.
I hate to say don't break the mold. But this time i think i'm going to agree black and red look the best. Although other dark colors are acceptible <EG has color changing calipers, that look really good>
Forum Vendor who powerdercoats parts including calipers. He did mine and a bunch of forum members and he has a gallery posted of different colors. Take a look there for some good ideas on color combos.
My C5 is a Trip Black Convertible. I went with Gloss Black/Argent Silver Calipers w/silver lettering.

I was really tempted to try some of that chrome paint. I know some brands are better than others. I wonder if they are heat resistant as well?
Or would it look cheap?
Thoughts?

1ST off SWEET looking Vette!! I love those wheels. If the Red calipers are a bit too much for you, you can always have the Inside HUB painted Red as they tend to rust after a # of years. My friend has painted silver calipers on his Vette & I think they look nice...But I like the Red alot better~That just my opinion ofcourse. Best of luck
*Oh yeah my friends Vette Is Silver exterrior, that's why he painted them Silver, I think Red should go with the matching Red Exterrior you have I.M.H.O ~
I've gotta cast my late vote for RED. Make a clear statement that's strong and still tastefull. Everything else is invisible. Go RED! Jim
Jim - I'm glad you were up front with your comments about red calipers. You say "make clear statement that's strong and still tasteful". What exactly is the statement?
A few members have chrome but that's not cheap. I would agree with you that since your rotor hats are already red, red calipers would be a bit much. My hats are silver so I did go with red calipers though. I think black with red lettering would look good also.
