You can always get the cold air box for the BW to gain a few ponies.

Hi BMX -

I would side with the folks that advise to stay with what you already have and avoid spending almost $500 (ouch!) for a cold air system.

A modded stock airbox lid on a stock c5 airbox with stock filter can outflow the stock MAF.

On the forum here we have the vararam faction, the blackwing folks, the Halltech people, and the up and coming Calloway Honker-backers.

I have a Halltech TRAP on my Z and a Twin-Ram on my wifes coupe.

Any of these setups will be good, but none of them will make the stock MAF flow any more air.

Save it for headers and a good tune.

best regards -

Thanks again, guys!
I posted this question because I was looking at going to a Vortex with a power duct instead of the Blackwing because I can get a good price on it, but I wanted to learn a little from the experiences of others. It seems like you all prefer the Vararam and the Honker, with the Vortex and Halltech in the minority.

I'm trying to see what I can do with the car CAI and DR only, so the tune and headers will probably be something I do next winter.
