Default call it intuition!

Strange thing happened tonight.
There is this stretch of road about 3 miles long that I usually shift into 6th gear and just kinda accelerate to about 70-75.
For some strange reason I felt the need to hold it at 55mph.

It was dark and there was nobody around. Well it paid off. Behind me after about a mile comes a Pa State Trooper!!!

Call it intuition or just plain luck, but it saved by butt from a fine.

Luck was with me. Hope it continues!
Has this ever happened to any of you???

He was just hoping you would stick it to it and he would have a justified reason for hitting the tripple digits. On boring evenings everyone looks for a little excitement, even cops. Follow gut feelings, it's your seventh sense.

I was actually stuck behind a slow pick-up on a nice twisty road thru the hills the other day and I was growing impatient. There wasn't a designated passing zone and I was tempted to floor it and pass the guy. Better judgement prevailed and I waited patiently, only to see a Highway patrolman parked just around the next curve with radar gun in hand. It could have been expensive.

Yeah a radar detector would have probably picked him up. I don't go anywhere unless it's on. Mine is a battery powered Solo S2.

IT ALWAYS FEELS GOOD TO BE LUCKY. ON OUR ROAD TRIP FROM OHIO TO CALIFORNIA WE WERE ON RT 8 JUST WEST OF WHERE IT STARTS FROM RT 10 NEAR TUSCON, AZ. THERE WAS NO OTHER VEH IN SIGHT GOOD, STRAIGHT, CLEAR ROAD. I THOUGHT MAYBE I SHOULD OPEN IT UP A BIT, BUT THEN REASON SAID NO, 78 IS FAST ENOUGH. COUPLE MILES DOWN THE ROAD THERE WERE 2 DEPUTIES JUST WAITING.

Long time ago when I had my cobra I drag'd a Z-28 on the highway... nobody around, got up a good pit over 100 then slammed brakes and slowed back to the speed limit.

Around the next bend was a statey w/ lights off running radar under an overpass (was at night). Being 17 that'd have been very very bad!
