Default A6 Swap?

Just wondering how hard you all think it would be to swap in an A6 with the paddle shifters into my C5. Just curious.

Been talk of it in the Tech section, but nothing for sure. I think Yank might be working on something. I would love to get a 6L80E in the backend of mine.

Now thats a major mod I'd do, Just for the gas mileage and the lower 2 bottom gears

That would be a nice feature. Sometimes In traffic I wish my Z was an auto with the paddle shift~but overall I'll take a MN6 over any auto any day~

I think the estimates have been very close to $15,000 with the conversion kit and the related labor and parts(new rear end, working out the electronics, finding some way to install paddles, etc.) Also from the posts of a couple of tranny guys there is some doubt as to the ability of the a6 to handle high HP and the lack of performance parts for it. I think it is a double overdrive so you have four gears( fourth being direct) and two overdrive gears.

For $3795, you can have a Gear Vendors under/overdrive setup that replaces the torque tube on the 4-speeds, instant 6-speed auto. Heck, on a GTO with a 4L60E and the GV set-up, they were running 8 speeds.
