I want to get a set of winter tires for my 99 FRC. We moved last year to the country and last winter I got stuck 3 times and almost a bunch more (the county doesn't do much snow removal on the back roads). I had never gotten stuck before but then I lived in the city. It is my daily driver. Can I go down a little in width and not hurt anything as long as I keep the front to rear aspect ratio intact? (Ex: run 225 or 235s up front and a 255 in the rear) Any recomendations and opinions welcome. Thanks in advance, Guy
For the cost of snows for a C5 you could get a decent beater... You might get by on well plowed roads with snows on your vette, but I wouldn't even consider it if you have to drive on seldom plowed roads. I know there's a camp that believes strongly that the vette was meant to be driven in any kind of weather... I personally disagree with that sentiment.

I've had a 4 wheeler for winter for many years. Before that, I at least had an old, but reliable beater.
