Yeah Im on a budget, so these $1000 systems are a lil much for me. the stock z06 ti is more in my price range.

I picked GHL because with my setup they sounded the best to me. No drone in the car and plenty of noise when you get on it otherwise they can be quiet which is good too....

Good luck finding something....

Here's another vote for GHL.

Perfect combo of quiet cruise and muscle car tone when you goose it.

If you need some sounds clips, go to the custom corvette accesories website.

Check your pm's. I live in round rock and have been trying all sort of exhausts. Now I currently have 2, that's right 2 catbacks on my car. I have both of the magnaflow kits, the magnapacks and the magnaflow axle back. (funny but sad story) Sounds awesome. I guess its the perks of owning a car shop and selling them. Look me up and I can let you hear what I have and give you alot of insight locally.

Ron, do you have headers on too? Any S/C? or stock manifold?

If with headers, do you get drone?

Thanks!

I second mqqn's opinion - I have the Z06 Ti's on my coupe & think it's perfect (for me, anyway); a little more aggressive than stock, without being obnoxious.

I do have long tube headers, X-pipe, and do not notice much drone actually, I drove it home 1200 miles from Vermont to Tenessee about 2 weeks ago when I bought it, nice ride actually. I now have a Z06 partition installed, and have not had it out since I installed that a week ago. I like it a lot.

I removed the Ti exhaust from my '02 Z and installed the B&B Route 66 exhaust. I love it because it's deeper then stock at idle and when cruising and sounds real cool at WOT.

Check the Parts for Sale section for used exhaust systems (B&B, Corsa, Ti, etc.) since you're on a budget.

I really like my GHL Bullets, as they have a very deep sound w/o any resonance. I didn't get them on sale (this is a great price), but I have no regrets. If possible, however, try listening to any system before purchasing.

Good luck.

If the engine is stock I would suggest either, Corsa Pace car, GLH or B&B PRT systems. If you intend on adding headers and deleting the cats any time soon then the Corsa Touring may be a good choice.

Post in the Southwest section for other vette owners in your are that you can meet and listen to thier system. Enjoy.
I was going to say this myself. Blatant bad information being passed in this thread. People are neglecting full stories on exhausts.

If you gf is going to be driving it, I strongly DO NOT recommend B&B Bullets or Borla Stingers, or Borla XR-1, due to a great amount of drone on each system.

Some say magnaflows have horrible drone, others do not. Same with B&B PRT.

The only systems that have NO DRONE more than stock are the Corsa Pace Car or Touring. These are the ones I would suggest. I am running the Pace Car and after owning B&B Bullets, thank goodness I changed them out, the drone was unbearable.

GHL is in the middle as well, as some say they drone horribly and others say they do not.

Then get that one, because it's louder but still very tame at idle and cruising. The next closest in price is the B&B Bullet system and you DO NOT want that.

Yeah. I don't follow. What does he mean when he says he's gonna let his girlfriend drive the car most of the time? I agree that you should go to a local event and listen to some of the systems with your own ears. Everyone's tastes and comfort levels in regards to drone are different. BTW, I run the Borla Stingers and love them. I don't think they are too loud and I don't think they drone that much. Best of luck.

Default exhaust

I have some Corsa sports and love them. At cruse speed they are like normal sound. However when you get on it they really crank up. At idle you know it different then stock, but not loud. Check out the sound track at some sites.

You guys are all posting what exhaust YOU like... Stingers/Bullets etc are some of the loudest exhaust. Read his original post!
You and your girlfriend need to go listen to a few vettes in person and listen INSIDE the car...trust me on this. I have been through about 5 different systems, partially due to the fact that I am a bit picky, and second due to other mods I put on the car that effect the sound (cam, heads).
The biggest complaint you will see on here about exhaust is the complaint about Drone inside the car, which you are not going to be able to hear from a sound clip.
