Default Reprogramming TPMS

Would someone please tell me how "strong" a magnet I need to re-program tire pressure sensors. For my purposes, I guess wt./size would work for description of what I need, and a recommended source would be helpful, too. Thanks

I can't answer your question, but my local dealer has always done this as a "freebie." Maybe yours will do the same?

If you have an old speaker or even a kids magnet it will work fine.

I was thinking on a larger scale--a 20 lb.-pull horseshoe type. I won't have any problem finding an old speaker magnet. Where is the best place to position the magnet, e.g., above the valve stem, touching the stem, right, left, etc.

I got one of these "rare earth" ring magnets...it fits over the valve stem, and is very strong...the horn chirps instantly!

Here's the web site...very fast turnaround too.

Two magnets for $11.50 plus shipping. Very handy.

Just place the magnet next to the valve stem. If you use a heavy duty magnet you may want to put a towel around the magnet so you don't scratch your rim.

If you place it next to the valve stem, it should cause the horn to honk.
