If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you're serious about buying it I'd check on the title, get a carfax, pull the codes, and have an experienced mechanic look at it. That's in the ballpark of what I got my 01 with 27k miles for last spring. I know I paid a little too much, but it was worth it in IMO for the condition it was in.
There are plenty of other ones out there, so don't be afraid to pass it up if something shows up or you don't feel right. I know that's hard to say when you really want something but....
Those carmax cars can go either way. My cousin bought a 99 white coupe with 38k miles for near retail off of a carmax lot. But it was in great shape. I got my 02 Z w/ 12k miles for $31,500 back in May 05. I searched and searched across the country for months, and ended up finding one close to me for a price I was happy with. I did pass on a lot of nice cars though.
That sounds like a screaming deal. Have a local service dept run the vin for previous repairs. And carfax, even though they sometimes don't tell much. Good luck!
On the surface that sounds like a great deal. I've got an '04 coupe with the HUD and perf. axle (3.15) with 12K miles and I was just offered $32,300 trade-in at the dealer on an '07 coupe. If the car is solid and has a clear carfax history, then I'd probably pull the trigger on it. Good luck!
I purchased my 2004 CE Z06 from Carmax. I felt like I got a great price on the car. They gave me the Carfax report and put it on a lift so I could take a look at it.
That seems to be a good deal and it's possible that the car still has some factory warrranty remaining so you would have some peace of mind if that is the case.
