Default bra in the winter

I have a speed lingerie bra and was wondering if anyone keeps it on all winter? I feel like the freezing weather would damage the leather, what do you think? Thanks

I have a SPEED LINGERIE bra on my '04 Z16 and it stays on all the time except for a wash/polish/wax. It's heavy grade vinyl by the way, not leather...and it has a lifetime warranty. Cold weather doesn't have any effect on it. Where I am, we get cinders on the roadway during the winter months...I want the protection.

Hey Doug. I purchased the stretch type instead of the leather for that exact reason. I really don't think the weather will hurt it if you keep it treated and clean. I was told by the sellers that it was leather, maybe I misunderstood. I don't think many people would pay $500 for a vinyl cover. I love the stretch material I have, it is so easy to get on and off plus I love the way it contours the body shape. Have a great weekend my friend.

When my car gets out in the winter (which is not all that often), it still has the bra on the front. Never had the weather do any damage to the bra or the bra to the car, but I don't get the car out when the weather may be bad.

Just make sure you get the bras that let the headlights show through.

I only use my SL bra on long trips. The abrasion that is created underneath it is not acceptable in my mind if it left on in any type of wet weather. Here we sand the daylights out of the roads in the winter and I know that sand would find its way underneath too easily.

Only put mine on for highway driving on long trips. It comes off after that.

Yes. it is difficult to initially install, especially by yourself. I ached for two days and cussed like a longshoreman because I installed it w/o assistance. It will stretch if left on for awhile, especially in warmer weather. When you remove it for washing, clean it and place it inside or in the sun to keep it soft, that'll make re-installation much easier. It's vinyl (not leather) and it'll get easier to install/remove as the vinyl "takes a memory". I find it an annoyance to turn the tires to access the mounting points in the wheel wheels.

I paid $600 for a vinyl bra; I really think they are leather. My car sits outside with a cover, so that's why I was asking about the freezing weather doing damage. It's not like it's sitting in a heated garage(I wish)

I agree with you it is annoying turning the tires to get the bra on and hooked up to the plastic things the bra has to hook on to.Also taking the bra off trying to find that short piece of cord on the passengers side is rough also.

I live in Massachusetts and bought the GM bra thinking it would protect the car only to be surprised that sand had gotten underneath the small piece covering the hood and had started to scratch the paint, lucky for me I caught it before and real damage occured, I removed the unit and buffed out the scratches. Now I go braless year round.
