If it's that great a deal - have a reputable tire shop swap your old sensors (assuming that they work) with the new ones, and sell the new ones here or on that auction site. The whole tire doesn't have to be removed, someone who knows how should just have to break the front bead, and swap sensors. You won't even have to have the tire rebalanced, but it might not be a bad idea, considering that the old sensors are bigger and probably slightly heavier than the new style sensors.

Probably cheaper to just get the right sensors. At a minimum I would think that you would have to get a different TPS receiver in the car. With the sensors lasting up to 8 years, it's not an expense that you have to make very often.
I'm faced with replacing all 4 sensors on my 00 coupe when I replace the tires in the rims. Where's the best place to get them at a reasonable price. I know in the past Fred Beans has been mentioned... who is the contact there now?

The prices and part numbers in my earlier post above are current from Fred Beans website.

Is battery replacement a viable long term solution?
The instructions I saw on the CF seemed pretty involved and did not seem easy to reverse for a second time.
Too bad GM didn't make this a simple swap out battery

I believe the best price can be had from Bob (a Forum Vendor, so don't forget the corvetteforum discount) at House of Wheels, www.houseofwheelsonline.com
