Default Question on Engine Break-in

About what mileage do you consider your engine fully "broken in?" Is it around 50K? I've got about 19K on her now, and my mpg is rising...I assume the engine is still in the "break-in" process. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

You break in period is around 3k miles. After that ist not going to get broken in anymore.

You are way past the break in period. I agree - 2-3K miles should be enough.

I disagree, in my experience with LS1s, I find they still tend to loosen up right up until about 10k. In other words, if you dyno them new, then dyno them at 3k, and again at 10k, you will see an improvement in power each time.
