IMHO he should come down some. Remind him if necessary that we are in the off season for sports cars right now (He should be glad to be selling one this time of year. Plus with Christmas coming a few extra $$$ from the sale can't hurt him.)
I paid 31.5 for a 2003 Z06 with 23K on it just last week in Carrollton Tx.
Thanks for the input... but I am dealing with a dealership....
I have bought from them before.... so hopefully we can deal...
It's a SWEET ride.... I drove it today... My only way to break
into to the Z06 market...... I've been in love with them since
they came out.... Wish me luck

I'm a car salesman so I know you can get that price down. Good point bringing up the time of the year, which was stated above. Throw 24k at them and see how It flies.~
The internet is your friend. Check out autotrader.com and cars.com. Cars.com seems to have a lot of vettes on it. You would think Z06's are rare cars, but I had 6 or 7 current ads to choose from in the DFW area. Print the other ads and take them along. Dealer I bought mine from was asking 35K. I showed him some of the other ads, some of which were in the 29K - 33K range. I told him "Here is your competiton. Come down on your asking $ or convince me why I should buy yours". He started taking turkey pretty quick.
Also, not to mislead on the post above - the amt I posted was the actual price of the car after all the haggling. Of course he adds his BS little fee for this, fee for that, sales tax, extended warranty, gap insurance (highly recommended BTW), etc., etc.
I actually ended up financing more like 34K, FWIW.
Got it for 26k... there is no real "off season" for sports cars in Houston. We have about 3 days a winter a year....
New tires, new front rotors and brakes as part of the deal.
Thanks for the input... I ran the numbers at NADA and KBB... and 26k is a steal in Houston right now.
