I have a 02 Pewter Coupe with light tan interior. I love the Pewter exterior but I am not that fond of the light tan interior and since my seat covers are beginning to look a little rough I was thinking about replacing all the light tan interior pieces with light grey (I have seen a couple of pictures of Pewter Vettes with light grey interiors and I think that color combination really looks classy). While I have no intentions of selling my Vette anytime soon, one never knows what the future may bring. Therefore if the time ever comes that I want or more likely have to sell my Vette would the interior color being different than the original color significantly hurt my resale value?

I wouldn't think it would hurt resale if done correctly. It could get pricey replacing everything though. Door panels, knee panels, carpeting, etc.

There are so many near zero mile and vacuum packed C5s around that you should do what you like with it. Resale will go down each and every month. We all bought these for our own enjoyment, not the next guys. (I hope.)

Are you planning on selling in the near future? I don't understand this question and others like it. It will be a very long time before the C5 becomes collectible, where originality and all that matters.
If you are really concerned - put all the Lt. Oak stuff in a box, hermetically seal it and keep it until the day comes that you are ready to sell the car at Barrett-Jackson. Then you can pull it out - install it and BINGO! back to stock, and in the meantime, you've enjoyed the car the way you want it - I hope.

If you want to change then do it. Put the factory stuff in abox and after you get tired of moving it around then put it on the pay it forward threaad at Christmas and make someone very
Wouldn't stop me from buying it.. My C5 is silver with light grey seats,, looks great. The only thing is your carpet will be tan,, would look better grey,, Why not put black seat, they would match the dash and console. That's what would like to do to mine,,,

In 35 or 40 years it might matter but I think very few potential buyers will check color codes on a vehicle less than 10 years old. So as long as you do a complete job it shouldn't hurt a bit in the meantime!!!!!

It's your vette and you've got to enjoy it now. Don't hesitate if the new color combination's going to make you happy every time you climb in. You can't enjoy your vette now by worrying about "resale value". Anyway. I suspect any future driver of the vette would also like your selection, and there would be no discount of the price for atleast the next 20 years. Jim
