I saw the new GT500 for the first time at Firebird raceway roadcourse a couple weeks ago. Looks very intimidating. 
The professional driver behind the wheel told me I had the better car though. (Z06) I was also kind of disappionted in the performance of the '03-'04 Cobras I was up agianst too. Not long ago I worshipped those cars. I guess the Z kind of changes your perspective on things.

An 03/04 Sonic Blue or Dark Shadow Gray Cobra is on my to do list. They are the only mustang I would ever admit owning, actually I would fluant it. I buddy of mine has a 2.6 KB Cobra, I would love to see some of you guys lift your noses to it and then get walked on. To each his own
