Gas Guage Problem
Had the problem a year ago. Ran a 20oz and 12oz bottle of Techron through the tank, per instructions on bottle, switched to Mobil prem. and haven't had problem since.High sulphur content of some gases causes corrosion of sending unit wires. Techron will help if corrosion hasn't progressed too far. It's worth a first try. Otherwise, per other posts, sending unit replacement maybe neccessary. Oh yeah, I think General came up with a ser. bulletin to reflash the chip for this problem. Not sure but I think it changes the electrical values to compensate for the increased resistance caused by wire corrosion.
(I'd be dangerous if I knew what I was talking about.)
Cheers
