I was infomed today, that come February, my position will be eliminated. (Some Christmas bonus, huh?) Anyway, if anyone is aware of any inventory control/asset management/warehousing positions available in DE, PA, MD, NJ areas, I'd be interested. I can forward a resume upon request. Thank you in advance for you assistance. BOB
I feel your pain. After 31 years with my company, they are movnig my job from Ohio to Virginia. They downgraded my position and told me I could apply for the job in the lower pay grade.
Oh well, time to start networking and looking for a new company. Have been in the Payroll and Human Resources management for the past 20 years.
Keep smiling and looking. Hopefully you will find something better.
I was told the very same thing this time of year in 2004 effective the first of the year. There is only one way to approach this. First there will be many openings that appear after the beginning of the new fiscal year. Second, there is a saying all things come to an end so that something better can start. Beleive that. Finally, approach every interview with the mentality that you are interviewing them to see if there will be a good fit. This is a sure fire approach. I ended up with multiple offers. Took one, quit that one, and now have another even better than the last 2. It will work out !
PM me if you want more tips to get the job you want.
Well, Mean Green, it's C5 related because...I was about to pull the trigger on a C5 after looking for over a year, and I've always gotten good advice from members of this forum. Just thought I'd network. Nice ride, btw. Thanks again, guys for your assistance.
Sorry to hear that. I will say I didn't have 2 months more like 3 hours. I worked for Centex Homes in Denver CO. They laid off 19 people in one day. That was a 30% downsizing. I got a phone call at 2pm and said to be at a meeting at 7am. I found a job 10 weeks later and I can't complain one bit. More money, company car plus better benefits on top of those.
